On May 21st, we are going to host another annual "tribute" shoot-off with my friend Chief John Poynter. He has been my faithful friend, companion instructor, and a consistently challenging shooter since 1989. This year he'll be 84, and he's still trying to beat me at every class!

Chief loves to shoot and as my birthday gift to him, I'm hosting a shoot-off event specifically for him on that Saturday night at Evan's Shooters World.

Chief will shoot off against everyone in attendance engaging a simple course of fire. To shoot against him will cost you $5. If you beat him, you keep your money. If he beats you, it's your gift to him.

Bring lots of fives. He doesn't lose very often!

We'll start at 5 p.m. and expect to be finished shortly after 7 p.m. I suspect everybody will be out of $5's by then! Chief will have one of his creative cakes in the lobby for everyone to enjoy. Come early to see it BEFORE it gets eaten!
